Transfer .gr Domain Change registrar

According to the new management system of .gr domains all owners of Greek domains are required to select one from the officially accredited registrars and transfer their domainsto them. IP constitutes an officially accredited registrar from the National Telecommunications & Post Commission.

The domain transfer service, selecting IP as the domain's registrar, is offered free of charge.

An essential condition, in order to be transfered your domain, is to be notified to us the domain's password. The data management system for .gr domains with password is applied by the Institution of Technology and Research the past few years. Thus, it is reasonable for the owners of older .gr domains not to know or not to have set a password for their domain. In order to recover the password of your .gr domain, follow the next steps:

When you registered your domain, at the registration application, you used an email address as the communication email. If you remember this specific email address and you continue to have access to this, send the following text, using as sender's email address the specific email address, to domains@ip.gr

Through the application that gives us the ITE will send you password to your email.

If you do not remember which email address you used at registration the .gr domain or if you no longer have access to this email address, contact your registrar. He is obliged to inform you about the password of your domain.
