From 4/07/2005 it is possible the change of name of the domain's owner. The name's change is applied in cases where the old and the new owner is actually the same person (for example, change of a company from OE in LTD) or in the event of the owner's death and the domain has to be transfered to his legal heirs. In a different case we have the domain's transaction process.

For the name change of the domain's owner in IP, it should be followed the next steps:

1. The domain that will be subjected to this process (and the contact person who is its' owner) must has been already transfered in IP, that is to say that IP is the registrar of this domain.
2. It must be created - registred the contact person who will constitute the domain's new owner.
3. It must be sent the application form for the change of the owner's name.

The name change constitutes a chargeable action and it is promoted after the deposit of the corresponting fees by the interested person.
