Domain change owner's name

The change of owner's name applies in cases where the old and the new owner are actually the same person (for example change of company from OE in LTD) or in the event of the owner's death and the domain passes on to his legal heirs. In a different case we have the domain change of owner process.

For the change of owner's name in IP, it should be followed the next steps:

1) Τhe domain that will be subjected to this process (and the contact person who is its owner) must has been already transfered in IP, that is to say that IP is the registrar of this domain.

2) It has to be created - registrated the contact person who will constitute the new domain's owner.

3) It has to be sent the application form for the change of the owner's name.

The submission of the application is not done by electronic way because of the additional supporting documents that are occasionally required.

Before the submission of the application to the Registry, it precedes a communication by phone with the owner of the domain, so to be confirmed the data of the application.

The domain change owner's name constitutes a chargeable action and it is submitted after the corresponding fees are paid the by the interested person.
