How long can a domain name be?

A domain name may consist of at least three (3) to sixty (60) characters, not including the suffix (.gr, .com, .net etc). For the domain names in Greek characters, the sixty (60) digits limitation concerns the length of the domain' s punycode.

For a domain name you may use either Latin or Greek characters, while you may only use the hyphen “-”. There can be no Latin – Greek character combination for the same domain and any other special character ($,%,& etc) or the space are not allowed. A domain that consists of less than 3 or more than 60 characters, cannot be registered.
