Then we will see some examples of the methods with whom you can take advantage of the Meta Tags of your own website.

1. Add a list of Key-words for search engines

Let's see an example of a keywords meta tag. This meta tag, enables you to create a list of Key-words, which are separated by comma and show which is the content of your page. Such meta tag could be the following:

< meta name="keywords" content="word1, word2, word3" >

2. Add a description for search engines to your site

The description meta-tag is the short description you see below your site, when Google ranks it for example in their results page. It must be a short sentence / paragraph for your site:

< meta name="description" content="This is a short description for my website in a small paragraph." >

3. Add information about the author of the document

The author meta-tag provides information about who wrote the document:

< meta name="author" content="John Doe" >

4. Refresh your site or redirect the visitor to another address

The following meta-tag refreshes a page after 30 seconds:

< meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30" > ,

while this one will redirect visitors of the page to Google after 10 seconds:

< meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10;URL=https://www.google.com" >

To be able to place Meta Tags to your site, you will need to edit it's code.
