According to the NTPC decision, concerning the Management of .GR Internet Domain Names, every
registration subjects to the payment of a renewal fee. The domain renewal is done automatically, for
two (2) years, simply by paying the relevant fee.
Based on the current legislation in force,
regarding the ways of operation and management of .gr domain names, the registrant is not allowed to
renew the .gr domains of the registrant's customers on his own initiative, unless there is a consent
by the customer and the renewal fee has been paid.
Renew your domain on time
To make sure of maintaining your .gr domain name ownership, please be aware of the registration period
renewal, in time. IP.GR reminds you of the expiration date of your domain names by sending
automatically information email, ninety (90), thirty (30) and seven (7) days before the expiration of
the .gr domain.
The Research and Technology Foundation's policy so far, according to which
many .gr domain names where in use for years without having paid the relevant fee, is out of operation
in the new management system. The .gr domains will be deactivated from the Registry,
unless they have been renewed exactly in their expiration date.
The expired
domain names, will be set for a 15-day-period in a quarantine status. During this time period, the
domain name can be registered again only by his former owner. After the 15-day-period, the domain is
available, every right of the former owner on this name is no longer in force and the domain name can
be registered by anyone who has an interest.

renewal of your domain through IP is to have registered your domain through IP or, in case you have
registered your domain using Hostmaster or another registrar, is to have already transferred this
domain to IP. If you still have not transferred your domain name to IP, you must previously follow the
