What are CMS (for example Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal)?

A CMS (Content Management Systems ) is a web application that allows the administrator to edit online a website and more specifically its content, articles, videos, images etc. The management and the changes are done easily and they are shown immediately to the administrator and the visitors of the website.

The content changes and modifications on the website, can be done from any computer that is connected to the internet, without the need of any extra software to be installed and without any special knowledge. For example, the administrator can add an article through a special WYSIWYG text editor (What You See Is What You Get), that looks like Microsoft Word.
