WordPress gives you the option to set the home page of your website as static. A static page shows the content that you will select without changing every time you post something new as it was a dynamic page (you can see more about static and dynamic websites here).
If you want to set your home page as static you will have to create a new page or use an existing one. Create a page by going to Pages > Add New (if you want to use an existing one you can skip this step).
When your new page is ready, you will have to set it as your website's home page by going to Settings > Reading. In the page that will be shown select the A static page (select below) option from the Front page displays category. Then change the selected page from the Front page drop down menu and select your new page. Finally click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to save the changes you made.
If anytime you decide to go back to the dynamic post view on you home page, the only thing you have to do is to select the Your latest posts option from the Front page displays category.
If you visit your website's home page now, it will be changed to the new static page you selected.
